    Never heard that before jg. There was a TOMMY CROSS from Philly, but no
    one was more of a New York fighter than Leach Cross who was born in New York City 1886, had his first bout in NY in 1905 , had about 165 total bouts and fought about 158 of his fights in New York. He had a dental office for many years in New York under his real name Dr Louis Wallach
    and had his last fight in NY in 1921...Leach Cross was a better version of the hearthrob Kid, Aruro Gatti...He was famous for feigning grogginess
    along the ropes and his duped opponent would rush in for the kill,only to be nailed by a right cross...Playing "POSSUM" WAS HIS TRADEMARK..
