    He pretty much kicked off the era of "Promoter over Boxer" and it has been ongoing since then. Haymon is slowly switching that to Boxer first with his anonymous status and best deals for his fighters.

    Don King...... Like I have said in the past love him or hate him, he (and Arum) have giving us fight fans some of the best fights in the past 30-40 years....As someone else mentioned, he put on events as in an entire show, see Rumble In The Jungle.....Don King took the Fania-All Stars and Santana to play before the fight, thats freaking unheard of now days.


    PS - Why the f u c k did the thread starter mentioned Oscar and PBF? smh....

    Boxing promoters for historical reasons have typically been leaches. I would much rather celebrate boxers than these scumbags, if Don King or Arum weren't there, there would be other equally unscrupulous people.
