    And the answer is Pernell Whitaker. But this thread has been done too many times. Hagler a mentionable second.

    Whitaker was a great fighter but he doesnt have the resume of Hagler, Hagler could box you, fight you, had quite possibly the greatest chin of all time and used that shotgun jab superbly.

    Skills wise Whitaker is ahead and if he had a stronger lightweight division or had fought Chavez a few years before they did then he could have proved himself the better fighter, but when taken as a whole his career didnt have the names for him to truly test himself.

    Fine list, but Loi was a switch-hitter who fought orthodox 90% of the time. I also have no pictures of him in a southpaw stance.
