Unquestionable Calzaghe was a great fighter but, aren't you the same person that (wrongfully) insists that princess naseem hamed was shot when she fought Barrera. So,let's get this straight. You make excuses for hamed being shot at 27 when she fought Barrera, but you give credit to JC for beating Jones even though Jones was completely shot(for that reason an unworthy opponent in Joe's own words.Read the book) which not only was common knowledge, but even something Joe admitted in his own autobiography years before Joe and Roy fought?Shame, shame.

But then why did you pick Pac as the best southpaw ever if you rank Whitaker and Hagler ahead of him?

Because apparently a catchweight win over Cotto is likely to catapult him into the top 10. Regardless, I think all 3 of Whitaker, Hagler & Pac are too high up on his list at this moment in time.

Lets get this straight, hamed wasn'y Physically shot, as obviously 27 is a prime age to box.
He did however not have the hunger and stomach to fight anymore. He made his doe and he was done from boxing.
If you really think Barrera would have beaten a prime hamed then just think again, cos you really do not know what you're talking about.

Based on what?Your silly opinion?Somehow this is so preditable.A hamed apologist making more excuses for that classless lout that got her ass kicked.Keep bringing on the excuses. Those of us that know something about boxing are used to it.I obviously know more about what I'm talking about than you do.The reality is that for a long time hamed got away with not fighting the best at his weight-the 3 Mexicans-Marquez,Barrera and Morales.hamed spent 2 years ducking the #1 WBO contender in her division in Marquez-don't believe me?Just read last years' Marquez interview in Ring where he is still angry about hamed ducking him.hamed made a career of avoiding the best in her division and acting like an *******.As far as in the ring, she made a career of psyching out her (less than the best like shot Kelley)opponents and utilizing her off balance tactics and manipulating her less than stellar opposition to do the same. When she finally fought an intelligent boxer that was unwilling to commit to an off balance slugfest and fight intelligently and within his own physicality, she got her ass kicked. If you want to believe that hamed was better than Barrera, keep on dreaming and the rest of us that know something about boxing-unlike you-will keep on laughing at people like you.And by by the way genius,Barrera lost twice at bantam to Junior Jones, including a 5th round stoppage.

Im not saying he didnt avoid marquez, but morales and barrera were superbantamweights whilst naz was a featherweight. barrerra came up to fight him. so obviously you dont know your boxing.

Barrera lost twice, and what? i know that.

Junior jones also got sparked out by morales.

You see the Barrera naz fight and compare vs any fight from naz vs kelly backwards. Dont you notice naz's change in fight style? less switch hitting etc. Had he kept his style the same he would have owned barrera's ass.

Hamed NEVER would have beaten Marco. She was just not as good as Barrera.I don't know my boxing? What's obvious is that hamed avoided the best fighters out there. You said it yourself about Marquez. And obviously you don't remember, genius, but there was constant talk about fighting Morales coming forth from hamed's OWN LIPS on a regular basis. She just didn't have the guts to pull the trigger.I can easily compare hamed's fights with the Barrera fight.Marco didn't commit off balance like shot Kelley did,who got drawn into an unnecessary slugfest with hamed even though he'd been ko'd only 2 1/2 years before he fought hamed.Marco fought patiently and intelligently within his own physicality and kicked hamed's ass, something the other 2 Mexicans would have done with the same relative ease that Marco did. You're the idiot that doesn't know boxing,or just choose to remember what you want to.
