Still Wlad. Although he's hesitant to unleash his beat shots, that right-hand is absolutely murderous.

Of the younger guys, AJ looks to have a lot of natural power but it can only really be judged when he faces better fighters.

He slightly buzzed Jennings once in the 12th round. He never seriously hurt Fury at any point in their fight, and it's not as if he never managed to land. He caught him a few times with flush right hands.

Both would have been early round KO fodder vs Prime Wlad.

He still is physically capable of throwing a stiff jab, I didn't state that he couldn't it's just increasingly harder for him to do it against a moving body because the reflexes aren't what they used to be. Why do you keep on bringing up the Pulev fight? It has no bearing on where he's at nowadays.

Power is the last thing to go is an old rule, while the power itself doesn't go anywhere, the decline in speed and accuracy can effect how hard you punch as well.In wlads case im not sure ,hes a great athlete and when on point has the best punches around,i think he will come back stronger personally just b/c of motivation. you know the old saying don't kick a sleeping dog? The question is could he still get past Joshua? I think Wlads power is still in question based on his past 2 fights but no real evidence its gone yet,it will never be totally gone but he needs that speed /fast snapping technique to generate it to the max.

Dude the output in the Fury fight was laughable(from both guys) Jennings fight too. You might have a case if both guys were getting hit left and right with power shots but that's not what happened. His declining workate/issues with pulling the trigger is the problem here NOT declining power.

It was only 2 years ago and he's had two fights since. You can't prove he's declined considerably since then. Pulev stood right in front of him from the opening bell and payed the price. Jennings and Fury didn't do that... They moved a lot and Wlad was having issues establishing the jab and letting the right hand go. Had either stood in front of him as Pulev did the result would have mirrored it.

Yeah that's true. I just think those things have been in decline for quite some time now. Not just the last two fights.

I think its mainly because he became some what disinterested,a loss sometimes is needed. He reighned 10 years with no one remotely beating him, going on his athletic abilities he should make another Pulev appearance, however I don't favor him over Joshua so he may get the rep of a shot fighter if he loses, but the punch count should tell us more b/c he doesn't waste punches and if hes throwing that usually means hes landing.

Meldonium does NOT give you more power, learn about it rather than spew nonsense out. Also Huck is and was an elite cruiserweight, Povetkin did not go life and death with a nobody like Wilder does consistently.

If he wanted to hear the final bell I don't think the current faded version of Del Boy would have too much trouble doing so against Wilder. Pulev didn't look at all close to getting him out of there did he? And he's inexplicably highly rated on these boards.

It's a hard thing to verify. Sparking out the iron chinned Chisora is an impressive display of punching power though.

Raw power wise it's prob Wilder - who I don't like - but his technique being as it is he struggles to utilise it against anyone legitimately in the top 30.

There's different types of power. Wilder has that sniper one shot KO if he can get you at the sweet spot of his range. Klitschko is similar. AJ, Ortiz have thudding power imo. All 4 of these guys hit too hard if you let them land with power and have enough to KO any person on the earth and some horses. I'd put Wilder at #1, nobody else is sending heavyweights to the hospital off of one punch or making them spaz out.

gotta to agree, wilder sends the body in shockwaves you dont see it often, quite like how kovalev will send poor ward.

Many here picked Ortiz, yet Ortiz could only put down glass chinned Scott with rabbit punches or shoving him down.
