Hard to say. Though it's clear he packs a decent punch. Margarito was respectful of his power, for sure.
It was a pad not concrete, besides ive been watching Margo since he was a prospect and hes always been a puncher, that plaster of Paris **** is way overblown.
That isn't true. Early in his career he was regarded as more of a volume puncher than anything. Go watch Margarito-Kamau, for example, where the ESPN commentators say Margarito is not a big puncher. Or the first Santos fight where Steve Albert says Margarito is not regarded as a big banger.
so what does this mean? does it mean that Garcia as a heck of a chin or that Margo really did load his gloves? cuz as far as i cant tell Garcia took everything MArgo had to offer and when he realized he couldnt hurt Garcia he decided to move.
No love for Yuri "Kosher Krusher" Foreman??? Seriously though, it's Cintron, no contest. Angulo is a volume puncher, not a guy with huge one punch power. Same for Kirkland really. I guess you could make a weak argument for Tyrone Brunson, but who the hell knows how much power he really has.
I'm not sure what it means, really. I'll say this, though..that was the first time I seen Margarito content to throw arm punches and "box" after unloading on someone who could absorb what he was dishing out. Though I guess you could argue that was due to the ring rust and him being slightly winded towards the end...
Angulo has showed some incredible, improved power as of late so I'm going with him. Also, I've yet to see a devastating performance from Kermit Cintron since moving up in weight so until I do I'd say he lost some power by moving up to 154.
