By the way Fury isn't a puncher in any way shape or form, thats ridiculous.

I don't think Vitali Klitschko is either, throws loads of arm punches. I reckon he punches hard for about 2 or 3 rounds these days and gets slower, and slower, and more arm starts to come through rather than body transition.

David haye will be at least the joint hardest puncher he's faced, and by far the fastest, and by far the guy most likely to stun him and then follow up on it quickly and thus theres a much greater chance he's in big trouble.

No, I said so - in re: you saying

"Helenius and esp. Fury can't can't punch for ****."

He certainly didn't get as far as he did on speed & slickness, did he?

Helenius is a pure power puncher with real heavyweight power.

    Haye isn't.

Which makes him less of one than Helenius (even if he's the better all-around fighter)

Haye is 100% a harder puncher than Fury of that there's no doubt. His power at Heavy is, obviously, different to Cruiser but for me it's lost its explosiveness but not all its effectiveness. I see him as someone who's power wears down opponents at Heavyweight which he means he needs to be landing consistenmtly with that right hand to make a dent in his opponent.

Against Wlad that was obviously his downfall, it would probably be the same with Vitali too. But vs. Chisora, I can see him getting enough opportunities to control the tempo of the fight and thus break down Chisora. Though I see him winning this one on points, due to Chisora's durability.

Get ta ****!! Helenius got where he is by being a big, tall lump and a half competent boxer, thats enough in todays HW division. He's no "power puncher".

I really don't know what the evidence for what you're saying is, IB. I don't even think Helenius would have KO'd Ruiz, quite honestly. Seriously. Think John would have just walked him down like Chisora did, with less success.

Helenius has solid power, okay fundamentals on his day, and has been matched with people like Liakhovich whos past it and never had a great beard. Ruiz may have been past it but at least he had a very good chin, Sergiy never did. Sam peter has taken so many beatings his chin is almost certain to be on the downslide at that point. Considering the number of punches he took off the Klitschko's it'd be very difficult for it not to be.

Since when is Helenius not known primarily for hitting hard??? :?

Did you in the UK only see him for the first time ever against Chisora or something?

FFS, he was being called by many (read:most) the 2nd hardest in the division after Wlad. Of course nobody thought he'd go as far as K2 despite his power, because of his Achilleus' heel: that poor hand speed...

You really think a Haye right hand is harder than a Helenius right hand? Am I in the ****ing Twilight Zone?

Poor hand speed + power = ineffective

Equal. Besides, it matters not. Speed WILL be a killer.

I don't see any evidence for what you're saying. If Haye knocked out Sergiiy Liakhovich for the 5th time in the 9th round would you suddenly change your opinion? If he knocked out Sam Peter, a guy thats taken merciless beatings against the Klitschko brothers and almost certainly lost a significant chunk of durability, would that make a difference?

Of course not. But theres very strong evidence for you in the Chisora fight that Helenius, first round aside, is not a mammoth puncher. He got walked down.
