As a lightweight? He's up there. Though I did have a brainfreeze on lightweights.

Off the top of my head I'd go for Lew Tendler or Edwin Rosario. I always thought Duran was a heavy puncher at 135 rather than really destructive.

    Rosario, I like that.

I'm thinking Hamed or Danny Lopez for feather...

Its very difficult to categorize 'Hardest Punchers'. In the heavyweight division, Foreman, Liston and Shavers are generally regarded as the hardest punchers but for me Dempsey and Louis outgun them .. Louis had supernatural power because of that leverage he got. Shavers was a devastating puncher but it was usually 1 punch power like Julian Jackson, Joe Louis for me is the hardest and most damaging puncher in heavyweight history ..

The hardest ko punch ive ever seen is without a doubt Jersey Joe Walcott on Ezzard Charles in they're 3rd fight (i think), an absolutely beautiful left uppercut/hook.

Max Baer was also a huge puncher

Nelson as in Jonny Nelson ?? His career must be discredited as he constantly fought bums, if he fought a guy like Qawi he wouldnt knock him out, in fact he'd be destroyed within 5 rounds.
Its the same with Naz, now im a huge fan of Naz, in fact he's my favourite British fighter ever but the fact is for the majority of his career he fought C - class fighters and guys over the hill, therefore its easier to look good knocking them out. No doubt he was talented but the only top line fighter he fought in Barrera (who was stepping up a weight), took his power and gave him a lesson ..

Nelson really shouldnt be in anybodys list because he was frightened of competition, its too easy too look great when knocking out bums ..
