    My thoughts:

    1-marciano/frazier

    2-ali

    3-evander.

    Ali

Blinded in the first match with Liston.
3.5 years off and withstands a war with Frazier.
Broken jaw and still went 12 rounds with Norton.
Rumble in the Jungle. Stood up to a murderous puncher and never got discouraged.
Thrilla in Manilla; fought until he was almost dead.

    Probably more, but thats enough

It's really ridiculous to name the fighter with "the most heart", come to think about it. Heart..courage...will to win is intrinsic to all great champions...even not so great champions. Consider South africa's Arnold Taylor in 1973 vs Romeo Anaya for example. Not too many fighters, i believe could have soaked it up like he did in that forgotten classic. I realize that Taylor wasn't a heavyweight...and isn't in keeping with tihs thread, but I had to make that point about heart.

How do you define "heart"?. Soaking up punishment and not giving up in the ring ? Or is it the kind of "heart" and bravery that Billy Miske displayed when dying from Bright's Disease and having only a short time to live, Miske to put bread on his family's table and for their last Christmas together, fought Dempsey and other heavyweights, though at times so weakened was Miske, he could hardly stand up...But knowing he was soon to die Billy Miske fought to the end for his family...That too defines "heart" and courage...

Miske is a pretty good call actually. Man didn't have no turn in him for sure.

I think Mike Tyson showed some great heart in his career. But not that tide-turning heart. He just had the heart to keep walking forwards and take his lumps, as in Lewis, as in the first Holyfield fight. And against Douglas, where he fought to a bitter, bitter end.
