Any ATG H2H thread involving floyd makes me lose faith in boxing fans.

What about Hopkins' domination of Morrade Hakkar? I think you and I both know why that one isn't on there. I was only considering elite/B+ opponents.

Well, Hopkins would never have had trouble with Castillo. (In fact, he would have utterly dominated him.)

Actually, a Welterweight Taylor would have been a difficult proposition for Mayweather. He had a very strong jab, excellent foot-speed and threw fast combinations. That sounds like exactly what Mayweather doesn't like. Taylor's main weaknesses are punch output and chin; Floyd would test neither.

Agree. I rate PBF and BHOP close to each other.

Resume wise. That goes to hopkins quite easily.

    Accomplishments. Mayweather quite clearly.

But then you look at hopkins losses. And it becomes quite clear who is a higher atg.

Well PBF. And he didn't scrape by DLH imo he won a close but clear decesion, in rather boring show.

Hopkins. Between 15 and 20 spots higher actually.

Hopkins for now. If PBF cleans out the WW division, then I would change my mind.

He moved up to 175 and embarrassed Tarver who was the favorite. Also, Trinidad had just come off of a destruction of William Joppy so he was a legitimate middleweight when Hopkins schooled him.

Hopkins has 5 losses and Mayweather is undefeated. That's one of the biggest reasons he ranks higher.

Sam Langford has over 30 losses and Joe Calzaghe has 0, who ranks higher to you?

Hopkins has only 2 fights against legitimate 175 pounders.....

his debut which he lost, and antonio tarver

I know trinidad blew through joppy, but that dosent change the fact that he was a big welter fighting at middle... Albeit he was a great welter fighting at middle. 1 fight at middle weight, does not make you a legitimate middle :patsch
