    Are either of them ATGs?

Wlad might be one day, I'm not sure Calzaghe is.

Getting starched by Purity, Sanders and Brewster precludes anybody from ever been at ATG. If he had lost to them in his retirement years, fair enough, but he lost to them during his peak years,

You have to wait til wlad retires, if he picks up vitalis belt later and goes undefeated for another 5 years his legacy will be higher. Or not of course, we have to wait and see what happens.

A good question and I see where you are going with it.

I use lots of criteria, but beating a line of nobodies aint one of them. Longjevity should be a factor, but not at that level of opposition. I know it aint his fault that the division is awful, but it is also to his detriment when assessing his place as an ATG. He could go on for another 10 years beating Eddie Chambers and it wouldn't impress me.

For me most important criteria is.. Quality of opponents beaten.
If Roberto Duran had never one a belt I would still have him as an ATG
Marciano may be an ATG heavyweight, but he will never be on any list of mine because we simply don't know how good he was because his resume was so bad.

I also like fighters that can adapt and receover from adversity. Wlad crumbles when under pressure and under real attack.

    Here's a few I'd have above him

Calzaghe's the greater fighter. He was better, he never lost (and only one of his fights could really be argued against him), and he beat better fighters. I honestly don't believe Wlad's any better than the best version of Kessler. Much more accomplished, obviously, but not really a better fighter.

Idiot - Wlad wasn't in his prime when he lost to either of those three.
And to your later post - David Haye is Wlad's best win.
