Oh look, more name calling :-(

Wlad was 28 when he lost to Brewster, that's what I meant by 'Peak years'

I rate first Peter win higher because of Wlad's situation and Sam's reputation at that moment.

Wlad, more dominant... Calzaghe hand picked opponents. He also had quit before he faced some of the stiffest opposition.

fair enough, Wlad is a strange case in that he didnt reach his best until later in life, also for myself personally I dont believe in comparing fighters across weights or p4p bull****, so I rank fighters by div only. For me Wlad makes the top ten of HWs and so by my definition is an ATG

of course we all have our opinions :good

    Both are ATG IMO..
I actually throught about this topic earlier today, and considered making a thread.. hmm, wierd :think..
But anyway, i voted Wlad.. Not by big stretch..
He has been so dominant for the last couple of years, 10 straight title defenses, has beaten the best fighters the division had to offer (aside from Vitali) and basicly owns the division since he has unified everything (except WBC)..

You have to retire at some point. There will always be someone else no matter what time you retire.

Oh and Calzaghe higher than Wlad.

That's all true and this is hypthetical, but do you see anybody on Wlad's resume that would not have been beaten by...

    Oliver McCall
    Ray Mercer
    Tommy Morrison
    Razor Ruddock
    Riddick Bowe

    to name a few....

None of these are ATGs, but by the criteria applied to Wlad, i think any of them would've been had they been at their peak in this era.

Both are great fighters, so I hate to choose one at the expense of the other.

HW's are and should be rated seperately from the rest.
