    I'd like to see a fight between Smith and Bill Squires... how hilarious would that be?

    If we're talking about world champs, they don't come much cruder than Freddie Mills.

    This is correct, but I think think the spirit of the thread is to look at contenders and champions.

    Are we measuring technique by what's normal at the time, or 2022 standards? That makes a big difference to where lots of old guys are ranked.
