    Who is the lineal champion if we traced it back from the past.

    Surely its the WBA holder.

    Surely he is therefore the legitimate champion.

    Lineal championships are always subjective.

    Not 1 title has been actually lineal. They all have a break.


    I'd say it's the fighter that makes the title and not the other way around.

    The WBA belt WAS the best, but it isn't anymore - just look at the state of their champions. The WBC's history is just as good, considering it is more recent than the WBA and it currently has the better champion. Although I do understand that this isn't a question that can be answered easily.

    ok so retirement ****s things up. damn. ok then so if retirement is included then whoever took his belts has a claim. this is annoying. there need to be ''a champion of the world'' or boxing is ridiculous.
