Who is the lineal heavyweight champion of the world in boxing?

  1. this is going to sound ****ed up but if there are multiple divisions and the champion retires maybe the last guy to beat him is the lineal champ. i mean wtf else do you have to go on.

Vitali Klitschko should be regarded as having the best claim to the lineal title due to his performance against Lennox Lewis. Tenuous I know.

He is one of my favourite Boxers to watch.

But what i always wanted to know, what does he mean with the sentence
    "I got milk baby"

    Serious question. Does anybody know?

LENNOX LEWIS IS A PAPER CHAMPION!!!

    ONLY TUNNEY IS LINEAL!

Days after the Heeney fight the champion announced his retirement from boxing. Though they had never truly embraced Tunney, the public was nonetheless stunned; no heavyweight champion had permanently retired with the title. Undefeated as a heavyweight, with only one pro loss, Tunney cut his losses and walked away for good. Months later he wed a wealthy steel heiress and embarked upon an emensely fruitful career in business and real estate.

    Or since Marciano.
Is that meant to be clever? The point is the titles have not been unified, the top guys haven't fought each other so how can you establish a new lineage?

Wladimir Klistchko defeats three lineal belt holders #1 Chris Byrd, Sultan Ibrgamov, and #3 Ruslan Chageav. He is recognized by Ring Magazine as the undisputed Champion.

Vitali returns after a 4 year layoff to beat #2 WBC Champion Peter

Haye beats Valuev for a paper title...

    Holyfield beats Botha...

Yeah...I'm so confused as to who the real Champion is.
