Wlad beat the best opponent in the division in #1 Chris Byrd to earn the top spot. And because fighting his brother is absurd and unrealistic he beat the next best opponent in the division in Chageav. The Ring understands this, most understand this. Wlad is clearly the real Heavyweight Champion, and that's enough for a new lineage to begin.

Vitali is just another belt holder with no claim. The burden is on him, not Wlad.

 

Wladimir. It's ****ing Wladimir. Jesus. Wladimir. No one else has a claim besides two gents who will not fight him. It's Wladimir.

Lewis was the last lineal champ, when the lineal champion retires it requires number 1 and number 2 in the world to fight to create a new lineal champion.

At no point over the last 6(?) years have the number 1 and number 2 in the world fought.

Wladmir has done the next best thing and as number 1 in the world beat number 3 Chagaev which the ring decided was good enough to be declared their champion.

Currently the top 3 in the world are;

Wladmir K
Vitali K
David Haye

We know Wladmir and Vitali won't fight so to get a new lineal champ it will take somebody to beat one of the Klitschko's (and then be ranked in the top2) and then fight the other Klitschko.

The WBA has the least credible claim to being the true champion as they stripped Chagaev for fighting Wladmir.

 

Since Bowe fractured Tyson's titles in 1992 this has only happened once:

Holyfield and Lewis in 1999...roughly 12 years ago.

However the actual literal lineage goes:

Tyson-Douglas-Holyfield-Bowe-Holyfield-Moorer-Foreman-Briggs-Lewis-Rahman-Lewis-retired.

 

I meant to start a new lineage after the lineal champion (in this case Lewis) retires.

Once you have a lineal champion all you have to do is beat him.

Basically you can't be stripped of the title, you only lose the title by being beating, retiring or moving weight.

It is better than the ABC's but you could have the likes of Zsolt Erdrei not defending it against the best in the division.

 

The WBA belt means **** at this point. Wladimir beat Chagaev who beat Valuev better than Haye did. Just because the WBA wouldn't allow Ruslan to defend the belt for unification against Wladimir doesn't mean **** to me. **** the WBA & their tainted belt, it means very little to beat the latest loser.

 

All lineal titles operate on a 'who beat who' basis. I now follow the lineal HVW title Lennox was given the title because Bowe blatantly ducked Lewis who was Bowe's #1 ranked challenger.

Lewis was not given the chance to fight Bowe as Bowe was scared of fioghting Lewis ever since losing to Lennox by tko in the olympics, and because Bowe did not fight Lewis, who ever Lennox beat and lost to is who I recognize as the champion...

 

Bowe ducking Lewis made me see Lewis as the real champion, and Lewis was more of a real champ than Bowe ever was...

 

Vitali K is the true lineal champion in my book...
