Who is the man at heavy...Usyk or Fury?

All true.

In one way I'd prefer Usyk to win, which is that I'm confident he'll know when to stop. I've backed Fury since I've been interested in boxing but I'm not going to say "Fury fought the wrong fight" or "Fury didn't prepare properly" if he loses, Usyk will deserve full credit for a great win. If Fury can't effectively adjust over 12 rounds or if he doesn't turn up for one of the biggest fights of his life in top condition then that's on him.

There was a lot of excuse making before the Usyk-Joshua fights. The only serious concern I had was that they were going to rob Usyk, either with dodgy scorecards or a British stoppage. Too much "Usyk's had 350 amateur bouts and is 34/35" or "Usyk's 3 inches shorter with 4 inches less reach and 20-25 lbs lighter". If Usyk wasn't confident in his ability to beat the behemoths then presumably he wouldn't have moved up. And if he's "past prime" now then why didn't he give himself a better chance by not cutting weight to fight at cruiser after the 2013 WSB? He could have let Briedis collect all of the belts and stepped down to fight him later if he felt the need.

 

Neither, until they fight each other.
