Right now i dont consider anyone THE MAN at the weight....

    Its up to
    Mayweather, Mosley and Pac

    to see who it is.....

It SURE as hell aint mayweather, but because of him having beaten judah and baldomir and being mayweather, hes in the running.....

Mosley has the biggest claim of them but the inactivity hurts him, he is the leader of the pack IMO, but doesnt make him THE MAN in my eyes.

Pac is next with his demolishion of Cotto, and should he defeat clottey it doesnt hurt....

    I have it
    Mosley
    Pac
    Mayweather

but none as THE MAN! at this point in time.

However, i will consider the winner of mayweather vs mosley as such.

BS. you can be lineal but you did not fought the best. cotto did fought the best at the weight and is more proven.

Not at all, like I said before, I dont think Pac or PBF can be considered at this point. But in regards to your statement of you not understanding why someone would consider Floyd more than Pac you are wrong.

Floyd, although retired and not having faced a welterweight in awhile, has fought and beat welterweights, with no catch limits. He also held the lineal championship, however weak the lineal champ that he beat was. While that doesnt neccesarily make him the man at that time for me, he has done more in the welterweight division that Pac has yet.

Thats fair, although I do consider Mosley the man and Floyd ahead of Pac based on accomplishments in the division alone.

Again, you're basing this off your opinion my man...Like I said...nobody is bigging Baldomir...I havent heard anybody in this thread say that Baldomir is the best WW champ! Just because you think he's not good enough doesnt exactly equate to you being right...I'm not trying to be a dick head to ya...Just not agreeing with your reasoning about it...If think its held by the weakest champ or not...it distinguishes the champ of the division... so in so many words...yes it does! ( just my opinion though:good)

i disagree again. i think you are thinking about their standings at welter at anytime. pac beating cotto had surpassed anything that floyd had done at the weight for the past 5 years. you can tone this down by saying its a catchweight but it would not reflect much at cotto's quality as an opponent yes even at 145. and what floyd did 4 years ago would not merit how they are ranked now at welterweight.

Ha, no worries, we've been on the same side before. Everyone has their opinion, so we'll just have to respectfully agree to disagree with ni hard feelings.

Youre basing Pac being held in higher regards then Floyd Mayweather in the welterweight division based off of one fight where Cotto wasnt even allowed to weigh in at the max ww limit. That hardly sets him above mayweather who was considered the lineal champ less than 5 years ago.

being lineal is hardly relevant if that lineal is not the best and/or you did not fought the best possible opponents at the weight. so i would rather have a guy who had just one fight who is one of the best at the weight when he fought him than someone who is lineal and not fighting the best the weight has to offer.

and again, floyd being lineal was years ago so it should not make much an impact on how they are ranked now at welterweight.

i think you have your opinion and i have this one. we could make a poll but i think we just have to respect each other's view.

    And that is my point!

Pac fans arguing for Pac have no more of a basis than Floyd fans arguing for Floyd...

Neither should get a single vote. Neither deserves any sort of consideration. Beating Cotto at 145 is no more of a qualifier than beating Baldi and Zab years ago.

I honestly dont feel either one should be considered in the running at this point and time. However, where we disagree, Pac has only had 2 fights total within the welterweight division. Its not even establish if he will have more than 3, one of which was held at a catchweight. Clottey has more of a reason to be on the list than Pac. Margarito as well.

If you wanna go that road, you could consider Mayweathers fight against JMM as a welterweight fight since it was held at a catchweight of 144(Mayweather weighing over irrelevant). As well as Mayweathers previous accomplishments within the last 5 years at welterweight, no matter how weak the belt holder(s) were.

But we can agree to disagree respectively.

Until this Mosley fight happens, floyd remains a big "What if"
