No one can do anything about Shane's age! He's 38....SO WHAT! He's PROVEN to be a top guy and beat the best at WW...so a win SHOULD be respected but some boxing fans will bring up the age and say Shane is shot or got old over night. For me it's Floyd's BEST win if he beats Shane....b/c Shane is P4P right now...Corales was a very good win too but Diego was green and young although extremely dangerous.

I'm not takin that Bet! You and I know the excuses are already to roll when and if Floyd beats shane. Like I said before bro......the critism is NOT always fair! But it's to be expected when you are the man....Floyd and PAC at the moment are in that spot and they are held to a different standard and in many cases an unfair standard than most.

Yeah, you are probably right about that, I just thought I remembered Pac asking for the 145 weight.

No, Oscar came in at 145 and drained.
All oscar's fault. He could have weighed 147.

I say SSM and the overwhelming majority of ESB agree.

He'll still lose to FJM though.

Mayweather is the best fighter @ WW, but Mosley is the champ!

    Mind Reader try considering this:

If by agreeing to USADA’s RANDOM TESTING PROGRAM, will Manny Pacquiao be able to really convince EVERYBODY that he is not juicing up with the latest & greatest super duper MOJO juice AVAILABLE only in the Philippines?

    I don’t think so.

    Because:
According to ROGER Mayweather — they think that the “A-side Meth” that Pacquiao is on, that makes him bullet proof, is only DETECTABLE by USADA Random Testing.

FUNNY? Yes,….. STUPID? To SOME people MAYBE NOT…

According to (BALCO) Conte — there are still no known test available for some of the “new fangled drugs” that are available out there…..there is also no known tests for “autologous blood doping” available to date.

According to Tygart (USADA CEO) — Olympic Style Drug Testing Program is “COMPREHENSIVE”, But is it “IMPERVIOUS”?…. Hardly.

These are comments from two educated people that KNOWS the system and are part of the system.

So if Pacquiao takes the test and “PASSES”, does it mean he is CLEAN? OR the “A-Side Meth” he’s taking is not detectable by USADA’s impervious system and because it’s a “NEW FANGLED DRUG” that was just recently brought to the USA from the Philippines?, that no current test is available for it?…

Can Pacquiao really silence his critics?

By the way, I voted for Mosley as the WW top dog as of today.

I am not saying Pac is dirty in the first place. I was just commenting on him making catch weights at the WW weight class, with a WW belt on the line, when he can't even give a blood sample 2 weeks before hand because it makes him weak.

I don't think it would really make a big difference in the "fanatics" eyes whether it is 24 or 14 days, or random testing because the foundation for the argument had been laid out, that if Pacquiao tested "CLEAN" he must really be taking a Super Mojo Juice.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to blindly defend Pacquiao. I want to see PBF vs MP fight. What I WISH is for NSAC to come up with a more stringent Drug Testing "MANDATORY" requirement so that no boxer will have an excuse. But then again we are back to square one because no current test is really impervious. It would just be a test that we all would learn to respect despite it's imperfections.

Friday night at the Resorts Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Cuban southpaw Giorbis Barthelemy (25-8-2, 10KO’s) shocked the near capacity crowd with completely unexpected second round knockout of USBA title holder Derek “Pooh” Ennis (23-3-1, 13KO’s) in the main event of the evening. The entertaining eight bout card promoted by Diane Fischer’s DeeLee Promotions, titled “The Next Generation showcased relatives of legendary fighters including Isiah Seldon (the son of Bruce Seldon) who scored a convincing third round knockout of Juan Zapata.

The main event was originally scheduled to be a USBA title defense for the ninth ranked IBF junior middleweight Derek “Pooh Ennis against Deandre Latimore, but it was scratched due to of the challenger having flue like symptoms. In stepped Cuban southpaw Giorbis Barthelemy in a ten round non title bout. Barthelemy was considered to be a runner who had tested top prospects such as, Kofi Jantuah, Willie Gibbs and Enrique Ornelas. It figured to be a nice test for Ennis. However things don’t always end as expected.
Barthelemy weighed in several pounds over the junior middleweight limit, but after heavy negotiations, the fight was allowed to go on. Barthelemy changed his method of attack right from the opening bell, pressing with heavy shots instead of boxing. Ennis seemed tentative in the early going as the Cuban Southpaw timed his advances.

Ennis seemed content to go feel him out as the round pressed on working with hooks to the body on his way in, but Barthelemy wouldn’t let him land without returning counters. The bigger Cuban seemed determined to take the opening round and both accidentally banged heads while swinging away on the inside. Ennis stood up and was caught by a big right hand. It stunned him and he wobbled backward to the ropes during the final ten seconds of the round. Barthelemy seized the opportunity, and uncorked a vicious four punch combination that put Ennis on the seat of his pants. Ennis reached his feet at the count of seven and looked to have his faculties straight as Referee Steve Smoger asked him if he was okay. The bell sounded before any further damage could be inflicted. Ennis suddenly stumbled to his corner and fell into the ropes. His corner immediately put him on the stool and he gained his composure before going out for the second round.

Barthelemy continued to unleash massive flurries while Ennis covered, trying to weather the storm early in the second. Ennis tried to move the fight to the center of the ring, but another clash of heads caused a cut on his right cheekbone. At that point Ennis looked tentative putting up a tight guard. Barthelemy knew nothing would come back in as he swung with big right hooks and left hands. While forced to the ropes, Ennis was weathering the storm and tried to land a counter right to the ribs but his left dropped a bit and he was caught again with a right hook on the ear from the Cuban southpaw . The right hooked forced Ennis to go back into a defensive shell, only clinching once. The Cuban knew this might be his best chance and put everything into his punches. Barthelemy connected with another big right hand up top and Ennis backed into a corner. The oopurtunity was there and Barthelemy let fly with a heavy three punch combination which snapped back the head of Ennis and dropped him to the second ring rope. Ennis looked to extremely hurt as Referee Steve Smoger had seen enough and halted the attack at 1:50 of the second round. You could hear a pin drop as the arena seemed to be in complete shock, but the stoppage was right on the money and renowned referee Steve Smoger did the correct thing at the right time.

Giorbis Barthelemy captured the biggest victory of his career as he upped his record to 25-8-2, 9KO’s while Derek “Pooh” Ennis falls to a highly respectable 22-3-1, 13KO’s.

Who beat the number 1 WW? Mayweather!

You don't become The Man at a weight by beating the man who was beaten by the man who was beaten by the man. The Man was Mosley. Mayweather faced him. Pac faced already beaten Cotto and got that belt that was stolen from Clottey.

No-one was the definate "Man", hence no Ring champion. Before there were three claimants who split their series of fights (Cotto, Mosley, Margo), Mosley having the stronges case with the most impressive win. Now there are two who beat them all (Pac and Mayweather).
