If the question is, "who is the master?", then the answer has to been Bernard Hopkins.

Bernard Hopkins Took it too the young lion pascal. Seeing how pascal had adopted parts of hopkins style against Dawson, luring him to the ropes and darting in with his combinations off the straight right (also the head), Hopkins went on and showed how to defeat his own style. So basically, Hopkins in exposing how to beat pascal, Exposed how to beat himself also. What style did hopkins use to expose his own style, one might ask. IMO Hopkins used his young style to do this with a few of the inside tricks from his post trinidad style.

During the early rounds, It was apparent that Pascal and Hopkins did not want to be the one coming forward. Hopkins gradually moved into the position of the fighter coming forward while Pascal sat back using a variated version of BHOP's style against him. IMO Team Pascal felt the hopkins could not win coming forward, so when hopkins started being effective coming forward Team Pascal had no plan B. They knew stalking hopkins is a lost cause so they seemed like they didn't even plan for it or Pascal didn't have the stanima for such a plan. Hopkins on the other hand knew that pascal was using a variated form of his style, so he figured out the ways to beat it using a little of his old style as well as elements of what Calzaghe did to him in order to beat pascal's version of his style.

IMO it shows the lack of strategist in the Game today. We have alot of good trainers who get fighters ready but I feel good strategist are far and few in between. I thought Pascal was smart the way he used this style on Dawson. Dawson wasn't ready at all for this and didn't seem like he trained for it (we all thought pascal would stalk dawson prior to the fight). Hopefully Pascal can bounce back from this. His body and stanima need to be improved. If hopkins would have went to his body more after round 6, he probably knocks Pascal out.

All in all I think the fight marked a sad point in boxing. What are we gonna do when our era's greats are gone. Having old man hopkins school a young lion like pascal does not bode well for our future. This fight wasn't like Pavlik, Tarver or Trinadad because it was closer and bernard stalked pascal, unlike how he lured the other three to the ropes. The other guys couldn't bounce back but I think Pascal can. His fights will be tougher and I already had him losing a rematch to dawson. I thought he was a better strategist than that but I guess he is just like the rest, having only one plan and no back up.

The only ones that can save boxing now, are Four:
    1. Mike Tyson
    2. Don King
    3. Humberto Soto
    4. HBO

You put all four together and they fight constantly, you'll see good boxing for years to come.

People think Tyson is "shot", but he aint.
tyson dont fight cause he;s in debt. $34 Million.
Soto fights anybody, and could wipe out anyone from 130lbs to 147lbs.
King is charasmatic, and HBO could give all of them lots of exposure.

If King promoted Tyson, Soto, with HBO, on a regular basis, boxing would be great.

Why doesn't this guy work for HBO. Him and Herbtz could really fill in some voids over there.

They know his insight will change boxing as we know it and eliminate all of boxing's drawbacks such as ducking, bad scoring, bad refs. and bias commentary. Those guys will fight to the death to controll their piece of boxing and they know his philosophies will spread through out all boxing media outlets, tearing down the walls of BS within the sport. I'm about ready to invest in this guy to start my promotion company. If I'm gonna take this journey to save boxing, I want him on my team. Who's with me?

Oh my god, I didn't notice the rose pedals leading into the room. Everyone bow your head and praise the Master and rejoice that you have been blessed with his presence.
