    You mean he has infighting skills?

    Not that I don't appreciate the man's skills, but in that department I don't think he has any.

    Interesting results. I'm in the minority here, to me it's Pavlik no question at all. Kessler is a far better athlete with greater mobility and handspeed, but he's not as complete in my view. Pavlik is more a product of his talent and ability as a trained boxer, and Kessler has more natural gifts.

    Kessler is the more naturally gifted fighter but Cotto is a more naturally gifted fighter than Margarito and look what happened...

    I think Kessler has better all around skills than Pavlik.......Pavlik is straight forward jab,double jab,straight right most of the time...Mikkel can mix it up with different combos, uppercuts, and has better mobility.....

    rudimentary would be the best way to describe it. aside from landing 3 or 4 good uppercuts, he looked absolutely lost when calzaghe was in his grill.

    Margo was the bigger man though. Pavlik wouldn't have that advantage over Kessler.

    Yeah, he was fighting at a high level - had poor blocking skills - fights a fighter two levels below, suddenly has good blocking skills - steps up in class again - oh, his blocking skills have gone.

    Know what i mean?

    I'm not sure what round it was but Kessler landed a few good uppercuts, Calzaghe got a good bollocking from his corner and the punch wasn't really a factor after that.

    To some extent, yes, but blocking Hopkins is virtually impossible. He shouldn't be judged in any way based on the Hopkins fight. Pavlik has shown fairly good blocking skills, his library of fights proves it.

    Yes, I am. Pavlik has no D, gets tagged without end. Kessler has a great D, and therefore he has hardly ever lost a round - even when fighting the top boxers at SMW. Unlike Pavlik, Kessler has good footwork to support his style and defensive abilities.

    Kessler rarely gets tagged at all. Calzaghe fight was a different fight, as he after many close round were for the first time behind on points and had to fight a different fight outside his comfort zone to get back in the game - and that was the gel in Calzaghes gameplan from the get go.

    Your research on Kessler makes me think you confuse him with Bute.
