Kessler landed some great punches in the fourth, including the two big uppercuts. In the 5th, Joe adjusted and become nearly untouchable for about 5 rounds. Kessler was clueless.

He was tagged easily by Zertuche, Miranda, Taylor, Lockett and Hopkins - just to name his last fights.

Yes, and Calzaghe gets tagged up himself quite alot as well. Both men take alot of chances to score. Both men are extremely offensively minded. Let's not confuse a willingness to expose oneself to danger for the purpose of doing more damage, for lack of application skills.

He was out of his comfort zone, and was forced to fight a inside game - but he scored quite a bit still. But yes, he had no way of turning it around from there - the fight was fought on Calzaghes premise. But at least Kessler proved that he could hang in the pocket, where we have never seen him before.

Yes, Calzaghe gets tagged - more often than he should - but that is the risks that Calzaghe takes when he is either arrogant, or just turns on his offensive self. However, unlike Pavlik he has speed, and great footwork, and is therefore not as dangerous for him, as it is for the likes of much slower Pavlik, because he lands more than he receives when on the onslaught - again unlike Pavlik - Pavlik is only successfull in this way, when the opponent doesn't fight back anymore.

It was a great performance by both men and a fantastic fight.

Probably Kessler at this point. The only flaw detected in his game may be by design. Calzaghe certainly did not dominate him. Just outworked him down the stretch and brought Kessler to a place he had never been before. Perhaps a bit one-dimensional as some have said but all-around, Kessler is a very good fighter and his jab is a piston. He could have thrown nothing but jabs yesterday and handed Haussler a beating.

"straight lines" Pavlik is totally one-dimensional.

The very fact that this is even a poll (albeit a very lopsided one) in the first place shows just how ridiculous Kellymania on ESB has been.

Neither is clost to a complete fighter - but seeing as there is no neither option...

I voted Pavlik because he has proved himself against a better boxer.

Mostly because of the Euro fans who overrate him somewhat. I know he's very, very good but they can get overboard. Sort of like the Calzaghe fans.
