Who Is The More Complete Fighter - Pavlik Or Kessler?

How am I hateful and biased? If you saw my posts when people were calling Pavlik a joke etc after the fight, you would have seen me say that he is a world level fighter who will come back and that he has already proven he is a worthy world champion and his attitude to taking tough fights is great.

I have also said that I give him a great chance at beating Abraham.

But you and several other posters went insanely overboard about him and would laugh when people like me said that he would be schooled by Calzaghe.
The only hate I have in terms of boxing is idiotic opinions that scream of ignorance. So I hate the fact that people are now saying Pavlik is a "bum" and Pavlik is crap when he clearly belongs on the world stage.

Likewise I hated listening to people talk about how he would wipe out someone like Calzaghe based on the fact that he beat Taylor and bloody Miranda.:roll:

Pavlik is not remotely versatile, nor is Kessler particularly, but it doesn't matter there are certain facets of their game that are purely physical and cannot be changed, speed being one. I cannot see Pavlik ironing out his awful footwork, something which in our debates I said time and time again would mean he would get countered to death and made to eat 2,3 or more shots everytime he failed to connect with his own, should he face someone with good hand speed and who uses angles.

I was laughed down and told I was biased. What happened when he faced someone with good handspeed and who uses angles?

 

I currently feel Calzaghe would beat Pavlik.

 

Good, glad to see you have come to your senses. Pavlik needs to work on his footwork more than anything else. He needs to move his feet with his shots, that one aspect alone would make him far less vunerable to counter punches.

Fair play, and as I said I do rate Pavlik as a world level fighter and give him great respect for having the balls to test himself rather than just take easy pay days like many guys in his position would have done.

Pavlik-Abraham would be a brilliant fight for the fans.
