LOL. This is amazing, now everyone is saying Oscar is not shot, he only lost because of the weight ! What happened to all you saying DLH was gonna knock manny the **** out?
If that's the case then I can say that Trinidad's lost to Jones was because of Tito's high weight and inactivity... huh???? excuses excuses. Would Oscar ever face that "shot" Jones? Nooooo, he had to seek an opponent who is currently fighting in the LIGHTWEIGHT division and QUIT embarrassingly on his stool. Trinidad would have never quit like that, and even that shot Jones did not quit against Calzaghe after taking a beating.

Manny would tear Jones to pieces right now. Oscar would have had a much better fight against Jones. Kudos to Oscar for taking on a legitimate current contender and not fighting washed up Roy Jones. At least Oscar knows he is shot. If Trinidad took on a prime contender, he would look WAY worse than Oscar did against Manny.

Hahaha excuses excuses Bradley. You're boy got schooled by a lightweight! OK? HE QUIT IN HIS STOOL! Trinidad after coming of a 3 year layoff was able to win some rounds at least and did not look as bad as Oscar did. You said Oscar would look better with Jones? Haha yeah right, that would never happen you know why? Cause Oscar does not have the balls to face a bigger man.

And still even that same washed up Jones looked better against Calzaghe than Oscar against Manny. Stop making excuses, Oscar got embarrased worse than Tito ever did put together.

hmm... so, after one fight w/ pac, oscar is now suddenly shot. dlh was never called this before this fight. i guess we should therefore call pac, the shot-maker.

Say what? I thought it was great that Oscar quit on his stool and was rooting Pac on the whole way. Oscar faced a legit current opponent and got his ass beaten, showing how shot he is. Trinidad has been shot for years and does a half ass decent job against another shot fighter so you are claiming he is not as shot as de la Hoya? I couldn't care less about any of them but common sense tells you that if you have one shot fighter going up against a prime fighter, he is going to get his ass beaten worse than a shot fighter going up against another shot fighter.

What if Holyfield performed well against Ali trying to make a comeback in 2009 but was still beaten. Would you say Holyfield looked better against Ali so he is less shot than another old man fighter who got his ass beaten by a current prime champ?

My point is simply that you can not compare Oscar's performance against a REAL fighter with Trinidad's performance against that washed up bum Jones. I don't give a crap about de la Hoya but he was at least beaten by a real fighter. Trinidad got beaten by Dick Cheney's hunting buddy.

Dude get over it. Oscar quit in his corner against a guy he was supposed to knock the **** out. Oscar was the 2-1 favorite to win because of his size and strength but instead he was embarrassed for 8 rounds and the fight was stopped. Wasn't he in the best shape of his life? And to say Manny was a bigger threat for Oscar than RJJ is total bull****. Manny is obviously MUUUCH better than RJJ P4P at this stage in their lives , but Oscar would never face a bigger man like RJJ, Calzaghe, etc. He handpicked a 135 pounder and still got his ass beat. At least fatass Tito went the distance with a former heavyweight.

Fair enough, but the question was "Who is more shot." It might be a bit irrational, but what the hell, let's discuss it.

You keep saying "former heavyweight" like it is something special. Whatever Jones is, it DEFINITELY deserves the qualifier "FORMER."

When de la Hoya loses to another shot fighter, then I will say he is as shot as Trinidad, since Tito was just beaten by Lead Eating Jones. So far, Oscar has only been embarrassed by a great fighter in his prime. It wasn't pretty, believe me, but it's still not as bad as getting beat by a has been like Jones. Oscar is on his way to where Trinidad is, but we won't know for sure if he is there until he gets beat by another washed up joke like Trinidad has been.

    Your logic is amazing. NOOOT.

Ok so let me get this straight. Tito after being inactive for THREE years lost via UD to RJJ, and Oscar after being more active QUIT in his stool against a much smaller guy he was supposed to knock the **** out? Dude what can't you understand? Your saying that Oscar would beat RJJ easily then? Oh please. Oscar would never fight a bigger opponent.

And RJJ is the joke fighter? At least he looked better against Calzaghe (undefeated champ) than Oscar did against Manny , RJJ did not quit. And he had won his past three fights. So why is he more of a joke than Oscar? He lost to Calzaghe, and Oscar lost to a lightweight. In any case they're both jokes but not just Roy.

Dude, I am not a de la Hoya fan. But Jones and Trinidad have both obviously fallen farther than Oscar ever could have fallen. This is the first time Oscar has looked like a dope in the ring and it was against the very BEST fighter in the world. Give him another match- against another shot fighter even. And if he loses that, THEN he will be at the level Trinidad is now.

Being shot and losing to a great fighter is one thing. Being SO shot that you lose to another shot fighter is completely different. What part of that don't you understand?

Jones won his last 3 fights? Oh and pray tell, who were those megastars that he defeated? Give me a break. Jones and Trinidad have both been bums for a long time. The fact that the two bums put on a decent show against each other just shows how far each has fallen. de la Hoya recently took one of the all-time greats (still in his prime, by the way) to a split decision. Pacquiao beat the crap out of him, sure, but sometimes boxers just get beaten every step of the way and look worse against strong competition.

If de la Hoya is foolish enough to take another fight, and embarrass himself the way Jones and Trinidad have both done, THEN you can say he is as shot as those two.
