no fighter is really avoided, i see it as a myth in boxing. they said winky was avoided but look at all the names on his resume say pwill is avoided again look at the names on his resume.

Winky was avoided until he got the fight with Mosley. He had a very close fight with Vargas who I and many others thought he won and then they threw him under the bus and he was fighting on ESPN until Mosley gave him a shot. He was fighting on epsn for years when it is clear that talent wise he was better than some of the guys getting the bigger fights.

After his wins over mosley though he was the man to beat so everyone wanted to fight him

He's clearly being avoided by Bradley, Khan, and Maidana. Promoters generally like to keep their guys away from lefties. Alexander is a slick, left-hadned fighter with some pop and he's not that big of a draw. The bigger names will avoid him for as long as they can.

Clearly Bernard Hopkins is. Calzaghe avoided him when he was active as well.

Not fighting is not exactly the same as avoiding.

Dawson has little to offer Hopkins now and had nothing to offer Calzaghe then.

every fighter that brings nothing on the table (or doesn't like to share much) is avoided IMO :D

That's bs considering Paul Williams was calling him out for the most part of 2009 in which Mosley already said that he won't fight Williams cause his style would make Mosley look bad.
