If I had to choose a fighter, I'd say Vernon Forrest.
His back to back wins Vs. Shane Mosley were quickly replaced and tarnished by his back to back defeats at the hands of Mayorga but what about after that?
Why did we never get a Forrest vs. De La Hoya?
    Forrest Vs. Mayweather?
    Forrest Vs. Mosley III?
    Forrest Vs. Vargas?
    Forrest Vs. Margarito?
    Forrest Vs. Spinks? ect....

His 2 year layoff/Semi-retirement after the Mayo fights was really an excuse for other boxers to avoid fighting him. IMO

I think your right none of the big names want forrest, none of the big names really need Forrest either but thats beside the point, Forrest is probably the best light middle in the world, we should be talking about him more.

Vernon Forrest Vs Oscar De La hoya is the THE fight at 154, ut DLH knows the money isnt worth the risk for that one. Vernon will have to just bide is time.

Other fighters who are too good for there own good incluce Steve Molitor, Joan Guzman and Yuri Romanov - Im not saing these guys are legends of the ring, but they should be definately boxing on a bigger stage and earning alot more money.

I wouldnt say Johnson has been avoided he has had plenty of massive title fights against big names, Hopkins, Ottke, Tarver, Dawson, Woods and Jones Jr. considering the amount of LEGITAMATE losses on his resume that aint bad going. Considering his imited style he has earned well and acheaved alot. He has not been avoided.

Winky is the most avoided ... I don't know anyone that would take the risk of fighting him and looking bad. I don't think that Bernard Hopkins deserved the victory over Winky either.

Celestino caballero is another one who will never get a big payday against Izzy or Marquez @122. The guy is a freak of nature.

115-113 ... I thought that Bernard wasn't landing much and shouldve been penalized for so much clinching.

Winky used to be most avoided, but now hes one of those who tend avoid everyone himself.

Id say Guzman right now, win or lose everyone in that weight division will look bad against him.

Margarito fought Williams, Cintron and now Cotto so he can no longer be in that list.

Just becouse Floyd dosent fight you doesnt mean your most avoided fighter out there ;)

Of that list, you could only really make a case for Forrest being avoided, simply because there are a lot of fights that could have happened that mysteriously didn't

All the best welters are fighting Cotto, except Mayweather. One person hardly constitutes a general avoidance

Who is supposed to have ducked Margarito? He hasn't done anything to deserve any huge fights until recently. He got his ass tapped by some nobodies, beat by a now exposed Williams and has only just got himself in the picture

Winky-Wright has a lot of ***** in him. That's all I can say about him. He whined all his career about how long it took to get paydays, now he won't give anybody a chance, he's a hypocrite

Johnson has fought a whos who between 160-175. Unlucky with decisions? Maybe. Avoided? Doesn't look like it
