Yeah, but who did he supposedly avoid? Kessler? That's out of his ideal weight range. Abraham? Was there any real serious talks? Or maybe Winky is a bit deluded into thinking that he deserves the big fights and he just didn't care about fighting Abraham because he wasn't a big name. But "avoid" as in he's afraid to get in the ring with him? I doubt it.

Joan Guzman, by far. He's arguably a better fighter than anyone on that list and has been searching for big fights since he was at 122, now he's at 135 and still has not gotten any.

I had it 114-114. If I had to pick a winner I'd give Winky the edge though, I thought he did pretty well considering he's a natural 154 fighting at 170 and having a nasty cut from an early headbutt (surprise surprise).

It was ****ing boring though. :D

To answer the question I'd say Guzman aswell, NOBODY wants to fight this guy, Nate's blatantly trying to talk his way of out the fight by going on about his mandatories.

Yeah I just placed a couple of the famous
(Ducked, Avoided, Under apprecited) fighters on the poll
but I agree with all the others aswell...

up until recently pre williams Margo was defo ducked..
Cotto was reaching Hunting season aswell, until his fight with Mosley.

    keep them coming

From Active fighters I'd say Margarito

From those in the recent past (80s)... Herol Graham (defensive, unorthodox, spoiler)

Winky. Cause all these one-dimensional fighters know they cant beat him. And honestly, he beat Hopkins.

I think to be most avoided, you have to be at least considered below the elite so that other fighters won't have to fight you to take the next step but good enough to beat the elite. I think Winky was avoided after his eye opening fight with Vargas. Before that, no one knew him. And if it wasn't for Mosley's arrogance, Winky might've never had that big shot. Mosley actually turned down a trilogy with DLH to fight Winky. What a horrible mistake huh?

Margarito obviously. Not quite elite but a huge WW with relentless work rate and chin. Who wants that? And his fight with Cotto proved it.

And Glen Johnson? Chad Dawson wants him again? Yeah right. Roy Jones? I would bet a million bucks that the last man RJJ wants to face at this stage of his career is Johnson. Johnson is actually the only guy who RJJ has not beaten of all of the guys he has fought.

Winky is avoided... but he doesn't help himself with his demands

    [yt]<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/sg_lKzornkw&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/sg_lKzornkw&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/yt]

I think from those on the list.... most of comes down to risk vs reward.... the risk can somtimes be because they're hard to beat or sometimes would mean having to go through punishment

Huh? What fight were you watching? Even Lederman, who was 100% biased against Hopkins in that fight scored it a draw so how would an objective observer score that fight? The official scorecards were 117-111, 116-112x2 and they were accurate. Winky's shots had nothing on them while Hopkins landed the much harder and cleaner shots. He made Winky look amatuerish at times.
