who is the most complete fighter you have seen?

    Which guy in your opinion ,had the most tools ? boxing ability,ring sense,power,determination,durability,what you will?In Short .
    Who was the complete package?

    It was probably Sugar Ray Robinson. That would be my guess.

    I'd have to object to the inclusion of Pep. He didn't have great power. Surely power is a serious component in terms of completion?

    Would you consider LaMotta a complete fighter John? It seems that these days he's seen as a bit of push-forward-head-down-thug, but everyone who saw him in the flesh attests to his cleverness.

    He isn't one of my favourites, what do you make of him?

    I am Sure that quite a few old sage's would put forward Charley Burley for consideration, sadly little if any film evidence is available for a more comtemparary review.

    Jake was mean (especially in the street), cunning, relaxed, resolute and damn affective, but limited.

    I think Burley is a good call, yes.

    I suspect he may have been a pretty poor finisher though, i spite of the power.
