who is the most complete fighter you have seen?

Well, you got the meat in that sandwich right.

 

I love Ali, but I can't really see him among the most complete. His punching power, though underrated, isn't really great enough and he didn't show enough of his in-fighting and bodypunching skills to be considered that complete IMO. But the things he specialized in he did better than anyone before or since.

 

for me it was RJJ.

 

Should probably mention Jeff Chandler. Weren't a lot of weak points in his game when he was at his best.

Nice to see lesser lights in such threads as Spinks and Chandler getting kudo's. Chandler at his best was fast, quite powerful and a superb boxer. Unfortunately he burnt out almost overnight (i've heard drugs) and didn't get to fight potential legend making battles vs Gomez and Pintor.

 

Yea but he realy is one of the most complete fighters, losing convincingly only to SRR. Most don't want to admit it couse they don't like his attitude.

 

Sugar Ray Leonard was as fast if not faster than Floyd Mayweather, had far more knockout power and has more proven stamina having gone 15 rounds with the likes of Duran.

 

What surprised with SRL though was that his jab wasn't better. Otherwise he was more or less the complete package.
