Dorticos has room to grow, and if his chin is solid, he could be a top 5 in as you said, a stacked division, if not the very best divsion in boxing.
But yeah, Ortiz is a peice of fine china just waiting to be shattered.
I'd tip Dorticos, Usyk, Huck, Breidis and Gassiev to shatter that glass.

I really like Dorticos. But Mchunu is a styles nightmare for anyone from 175+ until the fighter can get thru or around his defense without eating a counter hard enough to stop/drop him.

Im actually a Mchunu fan. Never even heard of him until the second Venter fight, and thought Chambers would overpower him.
When he SCHOOLED...bell to bell, round after round, Fast Eddie, making him look like a slow plodder, all the while stinging him and rocking him with hard counters, it was crystal clear that Mchunu had the goods.

Sure he's taken a tough L vs an equally intense fighter Mackabu, but Usyk did what Mack, Durdola, Chambers and Venter could not......
He not only imposed his size on Mchunu, but he also beat him at his own game, winning every rd after the 2nd. The putting the nail in the coffin when he began sitting on his shots for the remainder of the fight.

My rebuttal in Usyks defense........

You can't use Mchunu as a baseline comparison.
Dorticos fights very similar to Gassiev and Bellew both of whom I hold Dorticos up there with.....but wouldnt know who to favor if those fights went down.
Usyk however, would be the almost undeniable favorite vs the other 3 titlists.

 

going by your previous posts i'll take what you say with a grain of salt, usyk would be the favourite on points, but dorticos is a massive threat to usyk and a bigger puncher maybe the hardest puncher at cruiserweight, if mchunu was talking usyk who's 5 8, imagine a 6 3/4 guy like dorticos landing

so the worlds best heavyweights - Majidov, Joyce, Nistor in WSB at heavyweight couldn't KO or trouble Usyk, but you think a Dorticos could lol!

 

Good fight, but Id favor Dorticos.
He doesnt always throw defense to the wind, so vs someone with Kuchers qualities, I'd be inclined to think he'd find the openings when Kucher was throwing or create them behind his jab.

Huck outboxed Kucher for spells. Thats something to be considered here.

 

I'd favour Dorticos too. He's a good fighter (he'll beat Shumenov for the WBA regular IMO) and I like him, just think Usyk is too much for him (and any other CW at the moment).
