lmao my bad.. my brain was going to fast when i was typing Paul Williams has ONE L! but yeah... i think that fear is that image of invincibility.. once you take that away from a fighter so does that fear of fighting him
Margarito sucks, nobody is scared of him, Clottey would beat the hell out of him just Williams would whoop him too. and everytime I see you postsyou talking about Mayweather, if you want to suck him up then go to Vegas are something...DAMN. so when Calzaghe retires, is Dawson the reason why?? your such a loser!! and of course its Paul Williams!!
Mayweather by far is the most feared fighter. Look at the list of fighters currently ducking him. Cotto Margorito Williams Calzaghe Klitchkos (both) Hatton De La Hoya Ali Wright Pavlik The list is endless. He retired because nobody will ****in fight him..
I really dislike the entire notion of "ducking". Like it or not, boxing is a business. Each fighter is running his own business and decisions have to be made with the best interest of the business in mind. Sometimes it's not in the best interest of a fighter to take on a dangerous, high risk/low reward type of fighter if there are bigger fish on the table. Such is the case with the infamous Mayweather/Margarito scenario. Why would Floyd Mayweather sign on to fight a dangerous fighter that NOBODY (N-O-B-O-D-Y) has ever heard of, for a couple of dollars when there are names like DeLaHoya & Hatton available for BIG money. Rest assured if Margarito puts together one or two more impressive victories against marquis opponents, Mayweather will take notice.
I wouldn't say fear. I don't believe one professional boxer fears another at the top level. But strategically avoided... Froch and Kessler. Froch has already had umpteen cancellations with Inkin and it took a year to get Fruit Pastille in the ring. Nobody seems desperate to get in the ring with Kessler considering he's universally considered the #1 168lb fighter, ironically Froch would take that fight. They should go ahead and fight each other.
