do you mean fear in terms of scared of losing or real fear ie fear i might get physically destroyed and possibly hurt bad? scared about losing i would say paul williams scared about getting hurt bad i would say it's got to be somebody vicious and there are very few of those guys around these days, james kirkland was looking like he might be one of those (look how he paralyzed legit comp like joel julio)... maybe shane but he's getting up there now... oh yeah and pac obviously if he were fighting people in his weight class
Actually i dont think many younger fighters fear Hopkins, his style is dirty and difficult yes, but they more se him as a great challenge for them! Its more Hopkins who are picking opponents he knows he can beat.. Anyway, fair enough he earned that right by now! But he certainly isn`t the most feared man in boxing right now!
Mosely and Pac are feared - because its highly likely that they will belt the absolute **** outta you, but because they are big names, then the risk is worth it, for the coin you generate even if you lose. Williams - he is feared and cant land a fight, because opponents fear his workrate and advantages he comes to fight at, also, he isnt a big enough name for the big dogs to want to risk ruining their career if they get beat - and the reward wouldnt be that of a massive payday. Donaires too good for the B-graders, but not a big enough name for the A-graders to risk, the coin aint in it for them if they lose, the risk is too great - for not enough reward. I think Risk vs Reward is what stops a lot of fights going ahead thesedays, fighters arent affraid to cop a beatdown if the coin is there. Mosely and Pac, probably the only 2 that come to mind as fighters that others generally dont want a bar of - due to being scared.
I really dont think there is a fighter out there that other top fighters are intimidated of in that way.... if you mean avoided due to them probably winning, id say paul williams. but i really dont think anyone is really FEARED in the sport right now...
