He's overrated for sure.

Beating Margo isn't that big of a deal. Not a lot of people consider him to be that good in the first place.

 

hmmm id say nate campbell. A win over juan diaz dosent make you the superstar many seem to think he is... Good solid fighter though

Why does SMW seem to have that many "overrateds?"

If we count Hopkins (Isn't he retired?) he'd top the list. Beats a whole bunch of blown up welterweights (or super featherweights) then moves two divisions up to beat a middleweight and a light middleweight and a drained, ring rusty ex LHW. He grabs, fouls and spoils his way to the bell against Calzaghe (a blown up SMW) and claims he should get the decision just because he didn't get KTFO.

His middleweight title reign included such luminaries as Segundo Mercado (who KD'd him twice) or Steve Frank (15-2) or Syd Vanderpool who lost by TKO8 to Jeff Lacy and lost against a couple of other bums.
