Well, honestly, I was thinking of a couple guys, but Sturm is so far out of it that he never even crossed my mind. It really is that hard to think of him as a World Titlist.

Sturm's title reign is protected, nevertheless he did go to the US when he was a prospect to fight Hoya. He was expected to be a gimme for Hoya.

    Erdei is up there.

He was actually WBA SMW "Champ" in 2003 i think it was? by winning a very close fight against Antwun Echols, but later he lost the belt to Siaca, who Kessler beat!

Sorry but Mundine was never the WBA champ.

In 2003 against Echols they fought for the interim belt, only because Ottke at the time was the unified Super WBA and IBF champ.
In marts 2004 Ottke fought his last fight.

So if Mundine ever was the WBA champ it should be in the period from March 27. 2004 and till May 5. 2004. Handed the title and with 39 days with out any fighting, because when Siaca and Mundine in May 5, 2004 fought for the new WBA championship of the world, Mundine lost.

The same story when Kessler, WBA and WBC lost till Calzaghe 2007. Again Mundine never was the WBA champ, because it was Calzaghe who there by unified the WBA, WBC and the WBO at the time.

When the WBA title was set free, Mundine didn't want to fight Kessler again, who then won the tittle against Sartison.

If Mundine is the most protected, established world title champion ever, its all because of his 39 days of none fighting glory!

    No he wasn't.

Everytime Mundine had his "belt" there was a super champion holding a better version of the same belt. Mundine was never a full flesh World Champion.
