Tommy was so out of whack with the early weight classes and had to keep his legs skinny which lessens punch resistance hugely,so I think the guys questioning Tommy having a glass jaw are right on the money. If Tommy spent his whole career at 175 it would have been a less fruitful but very different story. Nigel Benn would be an OK example for me,although he's far from the most respected.
Nigel Benn had a glass jaw ?Come on mate give the Mclellan fight a rewatch.Fought with a broken jaw and torn ligaments in his neck from round 1.
i cant think many that are respected. alotta people respect bute i think . he either gots no d or no chin. froch an andrade cracked it pretty good. people still respect khan u see it people stick up 4 him everyday here on eastside.
Hard to say with Roy really. In his prime he rarely got hit ( to his credit ). I dont like labelling any fighters glass jawed, it's a contradiction in terms really, especially with warriors like Hearns and Lewis.
Active?, Jhonny Gonzalez is a well respected fighter (one of my favourites) despite being kind of fragile. All time?, how about Terry Norris?.
I actually prefer fighters with questionable punch resistance, it makes them that much more exciting to me because you never know what's going to happen next, there's always that sense of "kill or be killed" about their fights... that's why I'm currently a big fan of Amir Khan, was a big fan of Terry Norris, and Hearns is my favourite fighter ever.
