Poor Charles Adamu was so ashamed at having his first stoppage defeat against Groves he retired. I also heard he's not allowed to return to Accra either.

To be fair he let the team down badly.

I remember when wannabe Ghanaian (in reality Kenyan) Evans Ashira used the well-known Teak-Tough-African-Jawed tactic of headbutting Our Lord Joe Calzaghe until his hand broke. Can anyone point to a time when a ghanaian used this tactic?

Also can we petition Oliver McCall to get on the next series of Who Do You Think You Are? We need a family history, it seems inconcievable that he does not contain Accrain DNA

The people over at Boxrec must be rushing to Ghana to sign up their TTG's after all the hits they must have received thanks to this thread, i have to admit if i worked for them and seen the amount of traffic for these hard *******s id be over there starting a mini tournament to find myself one to bring over.

Imagine if a manager/promoter had the money to actually search for decent talent in Ghana and Africa in general? Like when a big football club send scouts to different continents.

Bring a few young ones over, put them up, pay them a steady (albeit modest) wage with bonus for good performances. They'd be a fair few decentish ones. They could used, depending on ability, as sparring partners - 'opponents' or hey they might get lucky and actually promote them as more than just opponents.

This goes against the theme of the thread I know but just a thought.

Kinda like Peters and Cuba but on a cheaper, lower quality scale.

By the looks of that video most of those guys are only getting a years training before going pro max in a crowded gym and lots training themselves. You'd need someone with a long term strategy

I'd love to see an all-Accra Prizefighter at the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex :bbb

I'm gonna send an email to Eddie Hearn & see if I get a response
