Figured this poll would be dominated by Mayweather votes.
I have him top 3 but he also relies heavily on his athletic ability.

Personally i think Hopkins is the most skilled seeing as he never had amazing athletic ability and is still a p4p fighter at 45+ due to his skills, i doubt Mayweather could do that.

2 and 3 is a tossup for me between Mayweather and Marquez, where once again Marquez has no real athletic ability and is a superior combination puncher and general offense.
This being offset by Mayweathers defense so yeah .. tossup.
And before people start riding me on even comparing the 2, imagine Marquez having that kind of speed and agility hed be a top 20 ATG (seeing as he does have the balls to fight everyone, multiple times if need be)

I realized that you (and many others) who have not trained in the sport probably had no idea what "technical skills" really are. Its something that you can't really appreciate unless you have done the training.

    So, read this list:

    ...then watch this video.

Repeat those to steps as many times as necessary until you don't have to ask why Paul Williams is on the list.

Paul is too off balance, slaps with his punches and doesn't have that sound of a defense. He doesn't deserve to be on the list period

I know. That's why I used his photo. I brought him up to demonstrate how Marquez stance drastically differs from Louis stance

Best skilled? Mayweather. However this is from the standpoint of Mayweather being insanely quick of feet and hand. That is genetic. Imitate him and you will get your block knocked off.

Best fundamentals? It HAS to be JMM. Seriously, what does JMM have in the physical department that makes him able to compete on the level that he competes at? Speed? No. Power? No. Durability? No. JMM is 100% pure Boxing skill and will to win. Hopkins is pulling up a close second.

Because you are and anybody who doesn't put him in the top 3 for most techincally sound(considering the fact that he's fighting and beating younger, stronger, and faster guys) is a complete Idiot because when your reflexes and speed slows down,(especially when you don't have a lot of power like he does) you need solid fundamentals and a high boxing IQ to compete an elite level and he's proven that because of those intangibles. And like I said, your Hopkins hater and you've already went on and said HE NEEDS TO BEAT CHAD DAWSON to improve on his legacy, which is pure bull**** because he doesn't need him at all, he's already established himself as one of the best. Even if he was to lose, it wouldn't hurt him.
