Of course he was, bro. Otherwise, Pac would be a Antonio Margarito or Paul Williams (throw as much as possible and hope something lands). Pac set traps, used angles, and footwork. I think you meant to say that he's not CONVENTIONAL.

To be fair, the answer is we don't know yet, we are only 17% done for 21st century.
The fighter might not even be born yet lol.
If it's for the last 17 years, I'll have to go with Pac and Lomachenko. Both offense outweigh their other traits in the ring.

The correct answer is Felix Trinidad. You simply could not sit in the pocket and trade with him, you're guarantee'd to get knocked out, the man was nothing but offense post 98.

Whitaker had a couple of fights in the 21 century when he was finished....but if that means he is eligible it's him hands down...

Trinidad wasn't really that skilled. He was skilled, but there were just some lousy holes in his game that B-Hop, Winky Wright, and De La Hoya managed to drive truckloads of lefts and rights through. I think a lot of his success was due to his physical abilities. He was a very powerful puncher with good height reach and speed. I just don't think a guy like Winky Wright tools you like he got tooled if you have great offensive technique.
This thread is about skilled offensive fighters, not defensive fighters. Whitaker wasn't a good offensive fighter, even though he was a great defensive fighter. But even then he was not technical, which is the other part of this thread. He was more reflex based. You could say that Roy Jones was a great offensive fighter who still had something left at the beginning of the century but he was a reflex based fighter too and not technical. This thread is about offensive technique.

I made this thread because too much when we talk about technique and skilled fighters it's automatically just assumed that means defense. It's true that defense takes skill, but a solid offensive technique requires just as much if not more skill than solid defense.

Pac had offensive skill and technique, but clearly not as much as say a guy like Barrera or GGG or Gonzalez. Even though he's the best offensive fighter of the century so far that doesn't mean his technique was the best. A big part of his success was he was just a complete tank who was almost impossibly fast, swinging a sledgehammer and never got tired.
