I haven't seen that much of Benavidez but I've heard great things - he's definitely one I'll be keeping an eye on. Should be interesting to see how far some of the British guys go - Frankie Gavin, Kell Brook and the '08 Olympians.
something I go by to assess a fighters power is the times he KO's someone who's never been KO'd before, Alvarez has a nice list of fighters who fit this criteria: Luciano Leonel Cuello Jose Miguel Cotto Carlos Leonardo Herrera Jeferson Luis Goncalo Euri Gonzalez Jeferson Luis Goncalo Raul Pizon
I think they will be fighting for the championship in 2011, either he makes it then or crashes and burns.
they have to fight that will be big fight in mexico and another possible trilogy but i doubt uit would be for a world title. chavez cant fight or has trouble getting down to light middle.
I think its Jose Benavidez Jr. Kid has it all. Skill, height/reach, power, charm. Doesn't look like anything's gonna get in his way until he reaches the top and by then he should be even further developed.
they = he, it was a typo. I was meaning Alvarez wiil fihgt someone for a title by 2011. If his opponent is Chavez Jr, well that's good too. Chavez gets **** on a lot, but I think he is an awesome fighter. Chavez will make his mark before it's all over and done with.
I know toop rank do there fair bit of cherry picking but who they going to match him up with. cotto is shopworn. but i see every other fighter giving him problems lara sergio williams kirkland will annilihate him and he will wonder why he gave up his upper middle class background to pursue a boxing career:deal
And USA fight fans are now starting to Follow, staples center was screaming after KO they definitely wanna see more and this kid delivers!
