Extremely difficult to become a crossover superstar in boxing nowadays. These fighters aren't active enough. You have to be seen to become a star. How can anyone expect to be a star when they go so long without fighting? The key to becoming a star has always been to develop a female fanbase. Women have got to admire your talent in the entertainment profession whether your craft is singing, acting, etc.
You mean Magnum XL commercials. Calvin Klein Underwear have been begging Niko to work with them for over a decade but apparently he's more interested in pursuing his writing. I've heard he's working on a sequel to the bible.
Khan. He has the potential to take over from Mayweather and Pacquiao...assuming he keeps on progressing, and firstly getting Maidana out the way. I see people have said Andre Ward...I doubt he has the personality (unless his promotion is drastically changed) potential to make and stay in P4P 10 for a while though.
Who is this young guy again that Roach is coaching? He is like 18 or 19yrs old now but is already very good. He is Mexican American, I think.
Canelo and David Lemieux are the two guys who really seem to exude star power for me, but unfortunately neither one speaks English too well. Maybe Khan in the UK, but he doesn't have a chance in hell of becoming a crossover star in the US.
