Lopez is the best without a doubt, Gamboas competiton is good but Lopez has been better recently imo. Chris John is Number three, and i think Hasegawa is number four.
Hasegawa hasn't beaten one opponent ranked in the top ten!!!!!!!!!!! And I LOVE Hozumi! Gamboa for me; far more impressive than JuanMa. Solis was as good a win as Luevano IMO.
If it's just at the weight, then there's not much in it. If you take into account all their fights then I think Lopez just shades it.
John for longevity and overall record, Gamboa for ability and potential, and JuanMa for best recent record. It's very close between the three IMO.
I think Burgos was a good win for his debut, and if he gets past Gonzalez as most think he will that will be another good win on his record. Hes also one of the most talented boxers at featherweight right now and its hard to ignore his accomplishments at bantamweight. He should be highly ranked at featherweight now for what hes done at bantamweight just as haye was highly ranked when he first moved up to heavyweight becuase of his accomplishments at cruiserweight.
yea John hasnt done much recently, probably more due to inactivity than anythng but still. I think hasegawa should eclipse him once he has a couple more fights at featherweight
For me number one at feather is Gamboa. I've been watching him from day one, I'm such a huge fan. He has his flaws and he is not the finished article but I think he gets Lopez and John out of there. Lopez wouldn't be disciplined enough to beat Gamboa and the Cuban's combos and speed would wear down John. A great trio. And I completely respect the arguments for the other two.
John has been overrated for a while because he was underrated/unknown before. Similar case to Anselmo Moreno really, Lopez or Gamboa beat him handily IMO. I'd have Juanma first, definitely, much better body of work than Gamboa, though I have been leaning towards a Yuriorkis victory in recent months.
I would narrowly go with Gamboa but i wouldnt pick any of them to beat another with total confidence in my selection.
