Who is the ONE fighter who would give Joe Calzaghe his hardest fight at 168 or 175?

The biggest threat to Joe Calzaghe is Chad Dawson. Dawson is every bit as fast and agile as Calzaghe, but he is also a more technically proficient boxer and harder to hit. I expect Dawson to win a close fight that bears a close resemblence to a chess game.

Chad Dawson is without a doub t his hardest fight. Money would have to be Hopkins though. Hopkins is the obvious choice ot fight in terms of legacy, money and exposure. Still a difficult opponent also, but highly winnable for Joe, where as Dawson is more difficult.

Chad Dawson is the hardest fight up to 175, no doubt

But, that's a fight which will never happen. Hop is probably the 2nd hardest fight and is fairly likely I reckon

I could see Calzaghe finishing up after Hopkins really unless he fancies a piece of Woods who would also be a tough fight...

...and it's Bernard Hopkins. Whatever he has left is still enough for this pseudo supernatural slapper.

OK...let's try and draw a line...except for Dawson and Hopkins, is there any other fighter worth considering as the ONE who would seriously give Joe his hardest fight in Spring 2008?

Woods? Bute says he isn't ready. Woods thinks he might be! What do you say? Anyone else, or is it just Hopkins and Dawson?

B-Hop because of all his tricks,he knows how to fight a south paw,and he will slow Calzaghe work rate with body attacks in which he is good at doing

Calzaghe has improved immeasurably since the Reid fight (which was more than 8 years ago), whilst Reid is now a part time fighter/ part time porn star who has hardly fought in the last three years.

The answer to the question is Chad Dawson, no-one at SM stands a chance and Chad is the best thing going at LHW.

I don't think he is as fast and agile, no-one is above 168, but he is technically sound and has the extra power which could trouble Calzaghe if he get the jab/uppercuts working as Kessler did in the early rounds.

To create a legacy that would truly define his career a fight against Chad Dawson is the best option.

Fighting a 43 year old Hopkins only adds huge money to his coffers. Legacy-wise it will forever be prefaced by the words "a 43 year old Bernard Hopkins."

On top of all that I think he's too smart for Dawson so who does that leave?
