What about Frazier, Liston, Ali, Holmes and Foreman? All of these guys weighed less than 220 on their best nights.

His best weight was around 210 though. He weighed less than some of the names being bandied about.

tyson at peak could but ONLY if his body shots worked their magic on wladimir's torso. and while i can see him ko'ing my fav fighter with chin shots, i am not so sure he could get to wladimir's torso enough to double wladimir over enough to expose the chin. remember tyson next to wladimir is very short and just as important, very short reach.

wladimir is peaking and his footwork is getting quicker and smoother by the fight. if he stayed away for 6 rounds while dropping bombs on tyson, he could beat tyson. but i do reckon tyson is the smallest/shortest fighter who could beat wladimir. any other short/small heavy would get picked apart by a peak wladimir.

remember tyson at his peak was most successful when he threw many bodyshots in order to double over/slow his often times taller opponents so he could leverage his awesome hook and uppercut power. if the few he got in on wladimir didn't hurt enough, then he is doomed.

and to date i've never really seen wladimir react in a obvious and painful way to bodyshots. the ONLY time i ever saw something close to a painful bodyshot was the one lamon brewster threw at him. however in light of their first and second fight, my suspicions that wladimir was ill in that fight are more solidfied. so if wladimir was perfectly fine, would that brewster shot hurt? i doubt it very much.

so while tyson would be the smallest fighter to beat wladimir if he connected on the chin a couple times, it would all come down to his bodywork. and i just cant see wladimir laying on the ropes, or giving tyson the slight iota of a chance at ANY moment in the fight. wladimir would move even more than he did against peter. and being smaller than peter tyson could sneak in punches during clinches, so i would imagine wladimir would simply keep on the move and never allow tyson to get setup.

Dempsey, though he's an exception. Almost every other fighter who could beat Wlad is over 200 lbs.

Are you one of Floyd's entourage?

I'd say prime Tyson. Tyson's pressure and head movement would do It.

Wonder how angry Tyson would get If Wlad did his excessive holding though!

Marciano? Are you kidding me?

That guy was so small, and fought against guys as small as him. I thought the seminar has already happened on this board on this subject. Marciano had power....yes. But who was he hitting? He fought like 2 guys in his entire career over 210lbs :deal and one was an old Joe Louis. there is absolutely not proof or even reason to believe he hit as hard as Peter, Brewster, Sanders...or even Brock. Wlad is 6'7" 245lbs and much more athletic than the 5'10" Rocky Marciano :patsch This would be a slaughter. Wlad KO2....if it goes that far. :deal
