If you want to call PBF hurting his hands from so many clean shots he hit Chavez with then I guess you can call it harder.:yep:good

From what I can tell he defines it as someone who doesn't 'get clipped'. I.e. no fighter in the history of boxing. :huh

Marquez gets hit a bit, so he's not a technical fighter. :patsch

A guy who employs hit to not get hit as where JMM is still a hit to get hit fighter. God blessed him with a great chin.

There's real reason why Mayweather can just stand in front of Cotto and just fire on him.

Mayweather did'nt even attempt to do such thing with a much smaller Marquez. You dont do that against capable skill fighters with IQ's at the elite level.

Marquez is by far the smartest fighter Mayweather has ever faced.

I've always said this to those that say Mayweather beat Marquez with skill, that being bigger did'nt have anything to do with it.

Its not about skill when you are quicker, faster, and bigger than an opponent.
Mayweather may be more skilled than Andre Ward, but he's not going to come close to even being competitive if he moves up to even 164 lbs catchweight to face him.

When you're quicker, bigger, and faster, you can get away with alot of mistakes even when facing a more skilled fighter.

So according to you Marquez doesn't make fighters miss to counter?

    Do you watch boxing?

Why are you still obsessed with trying to convince people Chavez didn't make the fight somewhat competitive? You act like Floyd Gatti'd him.

Look I don't even feel Floyd should fight ANYONE at 154lbs...he is far to small...I made a thread stating he is a small WW & I stand by it...this guy started his pro Career at SFW....

....further more you are talking about a 36 year old man vs 29 at his physical & possibly skill prime...

If they were the same size I would pick Floyd over Ward all day...

Some fans prefer the art of "do not get hit, do not hit."
In other words, the epic Heavyweight Championship fight "Byrd vs Williamson!" :deal:nut

I about fell out of my seat when i read Floyd "May" be more skilled than JMM. Floyd clearly have a step up on every angle JMM is capable of doing. Floyd's defense/offense/range/counterpunching fighting are all superior to JMM's. Floyd is not a fighter who imposing his size on his opponent, he fought JMM on the outside and not leaning or hold JMM. He counterpunched the counterpuncher.

Then you agree with me then. Mayweather's victory over Marquez should not be considered impressive when you consider the size and age difference?

Mayweather at this point in time is a full fledges Welter. He did'nt make the contracted catchweight against Marquez, so this cant be disputed.

This was a case of full fledged Welterweight near his prime beating an aging lightweight in JMM.
You must agree then, most hardcore Mayweather fans dont?
