Godoy held Joe Louis to a split decision pretty close to his prime, and I don't think that was by any means an outrageous piece of scoring. One man who narrowly misses the cut is Alberto Lovel, but lets consider his credentials. Olympic Gold Medalist. Went 3-2-1 against Arturo Godoy as a pro. He didn't fight outside of South America very much, but in 1937 he went 9-0 on American soil, Before losing to Barlund, earing himself a place in Rings end of year rankings.
