:think That is strange. Because I weighted in at 300 lbs. a few years back, and I was flabby and weak as ****.

I haven't a clue. All I know is that that is a **** load of weight for somebody to be benching.

Valuev has to be up there, because of his pure size.

Or as terrible of a boxer as he is, Tye Fields when he used to looked like this:

Now Butterbean has a completely different look than Fields,
but let me tell you, I've been around some guys with
a similar build and it seems like they can lift just about anything.
Don't know if it's true for Butterbean or not though,

:admin Is that pic of Fields for real? And I heard that Butterbean can lift enormous amounts of weight as well.

Jumbo was a badass dude. Strong as hell, but not the best boxer in the world. Is he out of prison yet?

Ya, that pic of Fields is real.

There was a kid in my high school class built like Butterbean, just a bit smaller. And he was one of the strongest people I've ever met. He could probably lift about 3x what I could, and I'm no weakling. Must be a genetic thing with people who have that build.

There are many different parameters to strength. Do you mean personal records in powerlifting disciplines or body weight strength? The two are very different. A gymnast loses to a powerlifter in the bench press but totally outclasses him in any body weight - related stregth. Pushing someone around the ring may also have to do with aggression and imposing one's will, good leverage and footwork. I have met tiny Chinese martials arts masters who could not be pushed from their stance by big guys, because of their mastery of body balance.

Tye Fields isn't strong; check they fight with Monte again. Monte outmuscled him and was bullying him.

That is freakin scary. What the hell happened to Fields now then? Still in great shape, but he must have got off the roids or something, because he doesn't look like that anymore. I agree with the genetic thing. If you look at those videos of strong hillbillys on youtube, you know the guys that can lift refrigerators with one hand or their beard, then you will notice that they are all built like refrigerators as well.

Tye Fields also didn't look anything like the pic I posted when he fought Monte. Fields has really slimmed down.

Yes, Fields slimmed down. I don't know why, but my guess would be to gain speed and stamina for boxing (all that muscle uses too much oxygen), which would be a move I agree with, even though it doesn't seemed to have helped him much.

Dominick Guinn said he was very strong too and never lifts weights, but I doubt it.I remember him bullying giants Michael grant, Micahel Dokowori and Audley Harrison though.
