Haters always making excuses. Believe me Canelo/GBP doesn't want to up against Floyd on May 5 or Sep 13th. Didn't Canelo just have a PPV that brought in lower numbers than Pac-Rios?

Exactly my point. It's not the Mexicans that make Floyd the PPV attraction like idiots are suggesting. Nobody is going to pay $100 to watch a fighter you don't like in person at the MGM. It doesn't matter if you're in Macau or in Vegas on May 5th, PPV is PPV. *******s are suggesting Mexicans just throw money away on any boxer that happens to be boxing on May 5th.

He's the highest paid athlete in the world, you're probably making $30,000 - $35,000 a year, I'm rounding up. He's smart.

I think he was trying to pace himself, he was too timid, like he was afraid of being hit back.

Oscar De La Hoya made as much money with fewer fights. Also, Mike Tyson. Part of me wants to credit the men themselves, but another part of me thinks that their promoters had as much to do with their financial success as their athleticism. So maybe the real pound for pound pay per view guys are Don King, Bob Arum, and Richard Schaefer.

^This. Fighting in Vegas, against Hispanic fighters, on Mexican holidays is a huge part of Floyd's business plan. If he fights a guy like Bradley who isn't a draw, or fights outside of the country like Pacquioa did against Rios he probably wouldn't draw more than a couple hundred thousand pay per views.

Mayweather doesn't have the same pull with fans internationally; so he's the pay per view king in the US on his home ground. But Carl Froch, Ricky Hatton, David Haye, and Amir Khan sell more pay per views in Britain where Mayweather isn't a draw. Mexico doesn't do pay per view, but if they did Alvarez, Marquez, and Chavez Jr would be the biggest draws. Boxing is pretty local and Mayweather is very lucky he was born in America. If he were born in the Philippines his drawing power in the states would be substantially reduced.

This is a tricky question. Mayweather is ahead no doubt but he has to be paired up with a Mexican popular fighter. For example, Canelo fight 2.4m PPV and Maidana was 800k (i dont even know if its that high) but regardless. Using ESB logic that means Canelo brought in 1.6m viewers. Same with ODLH 2.4 around. Pac's numbers arent even that high but he is leagues ahead in the action packed exciting categories (leagues ahead).

The answer to this poll is Mayweather and I dont care for Mayweather.

There's like 100k or so difference between them based on the last numbers they produced.

Pacquiao is the true PPV king though because he's doing it as a foreigner in the US.
