Joe was a lot closer to his prime than Roy was, and still got dropped.

Funny how Joe was afraid of flying until Roy become shot, ey?

Funny how in Joe's book YEARS before he fought Roy he said it'd be a waste of time!

Joe, just like many fighters from this country, was mental weak.

F*ck sake his OLD MAN had to PLEAD with him to face Lacey!

Why didn't Calzaghe fight Hopkins in 2001 or Ward in 2009? Why didn't Hatton fight Mayweather in 2002, or Whitaker in 2000, or Judah in 2003? Why didn't Hamed fight Mayweather in 1998? Get real mate, when you've given up your life and risked your life, you deserve some money first before risking losing.

Why didn't Hagler fight Graham, Kalambay or McCallum? He knew he'd probably lose. He fought a bigger name in Leonard for bigger money and less risk, as Eubank did Benn instead of Nunn, etc.

And the uppercut in Watson-Eubank 2 was far from a 'lucky hailmary punch'! It was clearly premeditated due to the perfect execution, the way he positioned his feet, the pinpoint timing to walk in calmly with it and the perfect arc he got on the shot, bang on the point of the chin; it was a matter of skill and greatness.

As Barry McGuigan said (before they fell out in later years): "THAT is the sign of a great champion!"

    1) I've ALWAYS stated that Joe ducked the yanks. He did, fact.

    2) Mayweather wasn't the man in 2002. When Hatton stepped up and beat Kosta, Kosta was THE MAN at LWW.

    3) Deserve money? You was in the same division as Steve Collins in 1990 and then you fought him like SIX YEARS LATER!

Who THE F*CK was you fighting between 1990 and 1994 when you had those KILLERS in the same divisions as you? You were facing bums, mate.

Talking about deserving money! Chris was a great FIGHTER when he was MADE to fight. But he avoided the top fighters over in the states like the plague.

    Barkley
    Nunn
    Toney
    Kalambay
    Jackson
    Duran

You shared the same division as them for like 4 years and never fought one of them!

Feasted on euro-bums in undeveloped countries.:lol::lol::lol:

I wouldn't say he was a bum back then, he held an amateur win over Dennis Milton in the Bronx - Milton had beaten Barkley, Frank Tate, Nunn, Reggie Johnson and others.

Steve Farhood described his jab and combinations as "world-class" in only his second pro fight.

You're just a deluded Froch nuthugger and Calzaghe hater, everybody sees through your hidden agenda posts.

Froch 2 votes on the poll, case closed.

Steve Collins wasn't a killer. Just a feather-fisted pale workhorse who got slightly unlucky against Reggie Johnson and Kalambay and was thrown in too soon against MM.

Kalambay brought no money, and Julian Jackson was out with an eye injury.

Froch is a joke, he wouldn't go near Calzaghe or DeGale when those fights were offered to him on a plate. He knew he'd lose and be beat up.

Ronnie Davies said when he first saw Eubank training at his gym in 1988, he felt he was as special as Sugar Ray Robinson and told anyone who would listen.

He's seen the same in Eubank Jr, so it will be interesting.

Herol G? One domestic/euro fighter Eubank wanted NOTHING to do with.

And who did bring money back then? Sherry?:lol:

The Lennox stuff really baffles me to be honest. He beat a lot of big men and big names, but he was thoroughly out-boxed by an old musclebound Bruno and a shot Mercer, and fought Holyfield when he was 8 years past his best as a heavyweight, struggling in the second fight, and a complete shell of Tyson. Loses by clean KO's to very ordinary fighters, and gets lucky against Vitali before wisely quitting.

Hamed had a far greater career. Kevin Kelley - in lb4lb lists a couple of years before - had him over heavily ala Lewis-McCall/Rahman and he gets up to knock him out clinincally in the same fight. 15 uninterrupted defenses against all the other champions at his weight and even former/future champions and from the weight below. World champions. Mostly spectacular KO's.
