That'd be interesting. I don't gmable so not sure if that is possible, but I agree, just as I stated before the first fight that these two come as close as 50/50 as you can get, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.
Canelo would definitely need to up his activity and fight the way he did from rounds 1-3 and 10-12 in the first fight through out the entire fight in the rematch. Golovkin will definitely need to take a hell of a lot more risks in the rematch than he took in the first fight, he had way too much respect for Canelo's power.
In just about every rematch, the greater fighter shows his class. This fight will be no different. GGG will win even more decisively this time.
Close to 50/50. I thought Golovkin won a competitive first fight, but he is obviously aging. The further 9 months favours Canelo.
At the moment, GGG is being pegged as the -170 favorite with Canelo coming back at +140 for the rematch. Canelo has a lot of motivation going into the rematch after hearing from the masses, including his own fan base that he lost that fight. There was a lot of criticism he had to hear which I know stung a bit. So I see him putting in more work in camp to be better prepared going into the rematch and will leverage the experience he gained as a way to implement a strategy that will actually help him beat Golovkin. So GGG can’t assume he’s going to be facing the same Canelo. I know he didn’t prepare for the Alvarez that was so defensive and back peddling so much, but I’d have to assume that will be a strategy he’s going to prepare for this time around just in case Alvarez gets happy feet again. I slightly favor Golovkin again given how things went the first time around but know Alvarez is capable of pulling out an upset.
I also think there's no underdog in this one. I'll be picking Canelo but the bookies have it for Golovkin, so who knows?
UK Bookmakers GGG 8/15 Canelo 6/4 Now, Canelo is larger odds than last time and GGG shorter odds. So what does that tell you? I know what I saw, Golovkin won the fight and I'm confident he will again.
If canelo wants to win this fight he will take off that excess bulk, lean down, and throw 3 x the punches he did last fight. If not, he gasses and loses again.
I’m thinking this although you could say GGG won without looking impressive as even now his gas tank allows him to keep pushing the pace albeit not very accurate against Canelo. I just think GGG with his instructions from Abel to fight every second of each round and to not give Canelo the last 30 sec of each round,I just think GGG rushed his work and didn’t think as he normally does so you could say if he starts thinking in their based on what he now knows about Canelo he could do much better than first fight. Canelo despite his training for cardio will still gas after three rounds, these folk though thinking GGG can’t improve could be wrong as something like him getting his timing off better would make a massive difference, body shots certainly, land more combinations and big right hands and you’ve already got a better GGG imo.
Shouldn’t of bulked up should he as bigger muscles won’t help him and it’s hard enough for him to make 160 anyway.
Oscar said there would be a rubber match, so what does that mean? Golovkin/Sanchez wanted the fight in neutral territory at Madison Square Garden, with neutral judges, referee, boxing commission, but Oscar and El Pollo would not allow that to happen. Instead, Oscar and El Pollo insisted the fight be in their venue, where Oscar will own everything, judges, referee, boxing commission, Bob Bennett..................and the commentators..............of course! I had the fight 8 rounds to 4 easily, Paulie had it 9 rounds to 3 Golovkin, Lederman had it 8 rounds to 4 Golovkin, Nacho Beristain had it for Golovkin, as did almost all fans, the vast majority of fans, except El Pollo's mother hen, Oscar, Hopkins, the fans booed the draw. Golovkin needs to go after El Pollo and knock that cheating criminal prima donna out to get a draw! Most of us expected a draw in the first fight because Oscar said there would be 3 fights................ Hopkins let the cat out of the bag when he said that El Pollo will fight Golovkin the same exact way SOB Ward did Kovalev, body blows, WHICH IS CODE FOR TESTICLE BLOWS! So expect Tony Weeks to be the referee, if not, it will be some other crook. I think we will see El Pollo land one testicle blow after another and get away with it. In the first fight, Golovkin was not allowed to land body shots, as the referee would not let him, that was a plan................I hope Golovkin and Sanchez will not allow corruption in this fight, but don't hold your breath. As Bob Bennett told me, boxing fans know nothing about scoring a fight, that they are not capable of knowing who wins a fight...............that Byrd is one of the greatest judges in boxing, no joke! Call him and ask for yourself...............be prepared for corruption....................since no one is calling and complaining about corruption, it will go on and on and on forever......................will never stop until fans start complaining...............just give us a fair fight, a level playing field.................what's wrong with that? Call: 702-486-2575 702-486-2575 702-486-2575 Why are fans afraid? What it there to be afraid of? I called......................I am still alive, don't be chicken, this sport exists because of the fans, it is "OUR" sport! If we quit watching boxing, there will be no more boxing, demand a fair, level playing field for both fighters. 702-486-2575
Unless Canelo has changed his physiology AND added more depth to his game the fight will be similar. Golovkin needs to go for the kill in the same manner he finished Brook.
