For example, some say Don Shula over Bill Belichick for quantity plus quality, but Bill Belichick has 5 Super Bowl victories.

    Well?

Fritz Zdunek had one heckuva championship record for the corners he worked & with a multitude of different fighters. Blackburn & Seamon sure weren't on the losing side too often either.

Not as relevant a statistic as it would be in team sports, hence the lack of data - nobody has ever bothered tracking or compiling it as it wouldn't be worth all that effort.

Does he train Marcelles Wilder too? That would improve his record to 41-0 (40 KOs).

Just because IB can’t find the answer in his Grays Sports Almanac doesn’t mean we can’t speculate. Angelo Dundee, for example, should be in the conversation.

That's like saying "we can speculate who scored the most knockouts in middleweight championship bouts..." - no, we can't speculate. Because there's a correct answer. In that case, one that has been indexed and can be referenced quite easily. In the case of "which boxing coach has the most wins or the highest winning percentage" - there is a correct answer, but short of some poor sap putting in the legwork of exhaustive thankless hours of research to unearth it, one that we shall never be privy to. Anything else is a wrong answer.

If you feel the question an important enough one to speculate upon, then you be the one to do all that research and find the correct answer. Otherwise, you are in agreement that it really isn't an important subject, and thus isn't worth so much as speculating on.

Point being, the answer isn't unknowable. You just don't feel like putting in the requisite effort to discover it. This reminds me of Louis CK's bit on ugly people and how some of them are just too hideous to find a partner despite common societal whimsies about "soulmates" and "someone for everyone". His reply is "oh yeah, well if you want to boo me for saying that, fine - you go screw one".
